Les Gets has invested heavily in new, modern, fast, six seater chairlifts – we now have one of the most sophisticated and modern lift systems. Many runs have the insurance of artificial snow and additional snow making facilities are always being added, or the existing ones improved.
In Les Gets, from the top of Mont Chery you can enjoy the wonderful views of the Mont Blanc range and enjoy the challenging black and red runs: Mont Chery is never busy. Over on the Chavannes side of the village the lifts take you up past the beginner slopes to le Ranfolly, le Rosta, Chamossière, la Turche and then over to Morzine via Nyon.
From Morzine you enter into the rest of the vast Portes du Soleil, one of the largest linked ski areas in the world with 650km of pistes. The area includes direct links with the French villages of Chatel and Avoriaz as well as Les Gets and Morzine. The Swiss villages of Morgins, Les Croset, Torgon and Champoussin are also directly connected. We looked forward to having the opportunity to show you around.
On the mountain there is a wide choice of restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or lunch – we'll show you our favourites…
Non skiers can walk, with or without snowshoes, on a network of marked paths; experience winter flight with a tandem parapente ride; go ice skating; or simply enjoy the wonderful scenery from a restaurant balcony.
There are two basic ski passes: one that covers the local area, Les Gets and Morzine, and another that covers the whole of the Portes du Soleil. A 6 day local pass costs €138 and a 6 day Portes du Soleil pass costs €184 . For more details click on the lift pass…
• Every French ski resort has it's 'Ecole du Ski Français', and Les Gets is no exception. However, we also have the benefit of four British ski schools based in Les Gets: Les Gets Snowsports, British Alpine Ski School , Alpine Learning Curves and The Edge; and two other independent French schools, Ski Plus and 360 International.
• We try to work fairly with all these local ski schools, using the best aspects of each one. When you book your holiday if you would like our advice on which to book we will be happy to give it based on your individual circumstances.
• If you are coming at New Year or from 7/2/2008 - 7/3/2007 and require lessons it is advisable to contact us in advance to book as these are busy times in our area.
