Finally, planning permission has been granted! So, it's all action stations to get the project under way this summer. The architects are working hard getting building plans drawn up, we are waiting tenders from builders and we hope to start in late April/early May.

At long, long last our planning application has been submitted. All the necessary elements have been put in place and it is now just a question of awaiting the verdict…

Chalet Tressud was built over 15 years ago and for the last couple of years we have been considering a major refit and expansion. This plan is, very, very slowly, coming to fruition and this page will keep you up to date with the progress (or lack of) of this project.
To date, it has been a story of French bureaucracy at it's best – or worst! The planning regulations in Les Gets have been going through many changes and we seem to keep falling foul of all these changes, resulting in delay piling on delay as we try to jump through all the necessary hoops.
We now have plans drawn up which ought to be acceptable and we have all the necessary land requirements in place. All things being equal, work should begin early next spring, 2008.
Until the work has been completed we will not be running the chalet on our usual catered basis – but it will be available self-catered.
